Use these differentiated French reading comprehension activities for beginners with your different proficiency levels.

Each passage includes:

Short answer English questions and students can answer in English : These questions will be the easiest for true beginners in core French or FSL.
Short answer French questions : This has the same style of questions as the English, however, the questions are in French and students are directed to answer in French. These are best for your more-advanced learners or French immersion classes.
Multiple choice questions in French : Occasionally, students will locate specific information in the text (such as adjectives or certain verb tenses). These are great for any level, as the questions are a bit different than the short answer versions.

You can choose all one version for a class, but I like to use different versions based on student levels so that differentiation is super-easy! You can always print 2 versions back-to-back and let students choose their own activity.
