Make French Halloween vocabulary practice fun with this fast-paced French Halloween game! This Vocabulary Slap game gets students listening, recognizing vocabulary, and racing to find the correct card—all while they’re having fun.

It’s a great choice for Core French, FSL, and French immersion classes when you want a seasonal activity that requires very little preparation.

How to play

Print and cut the cards, then place a set face-up for each group of students. Call out a vocabulary word and have students race to find and slap the matching card. The student who finds the correct card first keeps it, and the student with the most cards at the end wins.

You can play in several ways:

• English-to-French practice: Use the French word cards and give the English word.
