Description
This French ER verbs game is a fun way to practice present tense conjugations with your core or immersion classes! This no-prep French game is an easy and effective way to engage your students as they practice French conjugation and vocabulary! Just print the game boards and student reference pages and you’re all set!
This fun game will get them speaking and conjugating verbs in no time! They’ll have so much fun working in groups to conjugate French ER verbs and form original sentences, and they won’t even realize how much French grammar they’re practicing as they play.
How does this French ER verbs game work?
- Students move their game pieces around the board and for each verb space they land on, they create sentences using the subject shown on the subject card that they draw.
- They use the included notes pages to check their partner’s answers as they play.
This includes two game boards:
- Game 1 has the most common French ER verbs in the infinitive form. Students will use this game for conjugation only.
- Game 2 has images of even more French verbs. All verbs used are on the student notes pages, so even if they see a new verb, they can play along and pick up some new words!
This also includes:
- image-based vocabulary lists of all words used plus a few more students might find helpful
- directions in French and English
- teacher directions in English
- dice and game pieces templates (or use your own dice and playing pieces.
⚠️This French game is not editable and will not be provided in an editable format. Thank you for understanding.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “C’est parfait pour apprendre et réviser les verbes du 1er groupe sans être ennuyeux car les exercices de conjugaison sont toujours très difficiles à passer avec les enfants.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Students played the game with partners or in a small group. They really enjoyed it. Thank you! I will use it again!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Students always get excited when they see these resources come out! What an engaging way to teach concepts. I use this game board for futur proche, present tense, and passé composé!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This is a great way to help students practice speaking verbs, which aligns well with the Ontario FSL curriculum.”

I made this to revise the vocab with my Year 5s. I printed out the page of vocab whilst they played the game.
