Passé composé resources teachers love

No-prep passé composé worksheets

Teachers love these, because they are so clear and concise, and they really break down what students need to know in small, manageable chunks.

Students need to know the avoir and être verbs, but they can’t learn them all at once! Most of the resources I was given when I started teaching moved WAY too fast for my students to grasp. In my ready-to-go passé composé worksheets, the students start with the most basic: French regular ER verbs.

They’ll learn about using avoir and forming past participles with the verbs they are most familiar with. Once they understand how to use auxiliary verbs and past participles, they can move on to other regular and irregular verbs with avoir, and finally on to the verbs conjugated with être.

Some things teachers love about these passé composé worksheets:

  • French and English versions are included so you can use this with core and immersion.
  • The scaffolded activities provide just the right support.
  • Notes pages are clear and visually appealing to students.
  • Speaking activities, games, and exit tickets are included, too!
