There are two game boards of different difficulty, meaning you can use this the vocabulary game with beginners and the verb game for students who have learned a variety of regular and irregular verbs. It’s perfect for teachers who have multiple levels, and it can be used with just about any group!

For game 1:

Students roll the dice and move to the space indicated. Students need provide the French word for the image shown OR use the word in a complete sentence. Simply direct your class which action they should take before game play.

For game 2:
Students roll the dice and move to the space indicated. Students need to draw a subject card and conjugate the verb shown on their space, using the word in a complete sentence.

• This game contains a variety of Christmas-themed regular verbs such as fêter, partager, rendre, and réfléchir. It also includes common irregular verbs such as recevoir, écrire, aller, surprendre, and être. Students should be familiar with a variety of verbs. Play with any tense you want!

Want to add even more differentiation?

If you want to differentiate, you can group students by ability level and have the more advanced students provide a complete sentence while other groups just provide the French word. If it fits with your curriculum you can make it even harder by requiring students to answer using varied sentence types (simple, compound, compound-complex, etc.)

This game prints in color. There is no black and white version included.
