A little about me:
I started teaching French over 20 years ago, and during my years as a French teacher, I have written the French curriculum for multiple school districts, both for FSL classes and for French immersion. I’ve taught FSL to grades 4-12, AP French, and French immersion in grades 6 and 7.
I’ve got tons of experience with what works best for students, all designed from the feedback I’ve gotten from over 1000 students and thousands of French teachers like you! I’ve been creating French resources for my TpT store since 2014, and so when teachers started asking for a full French curriculum, I set to work!
About my French curriculum:
I currently offer three levels of French curriculum, complete with ready-to-go French worksheets and presentations, speaking and listening activities and games, interactive Boom Cards™️, projects, quizzes and tests. Each level comes with a full scope and sequence plus a daily pacing guide for the entire year.
I do continuously make new additions to these as well as frequent updates to keep them up-to-date. As with all TpT resources, any additions or revisions are absolutely free to teachers who have purchased the resource.
French 1 curriculum:
This year-long French curriculum resource is designed for French 1 students from grades 6-9 who have had little or no exposure to French. With activities designed just for brand-new beginners, it’s easy to engage students with a fun, easy-to-understand approach to French grammar that students and teachers all love!
Canadian Core French teacher? Many core teachers use this bundle for grades 4 and 5, and sometimes into grade 6, depending on how much time they get with students and how far they can progress through the units.
With multiple versions of many of the resources, you can easily adjust as needed, so it’s easy to use the same unit with grade 4 and grade 9 beginners.
Students will love the easy-to-understand explanations for the grammar concepts, and the meaningful and effective practice activities make it so easy for them to work independently. The student packets are scaffolded, so you can provide just the right amount of support as students progress through the units, gradually moving to more challenging material through the year.
Students’ needs can vary by grade level, learning preference, and level of support required, so each unit is filled with a variety of speaking activities, games, worksheets, and reading + listening comprehension so it’s easy to provide the right support and challenge to all your students!
If you have students who have had no French at all, this is the perfect place to start! If you have immersion students or native speakers who are in beginner French courses, you’ll find some full-French resources included in the student packets, so they can work at a more challenging level even as they build the important foundational skills they’ll need to succeed in later French courses.
